Debris Drawing 3

Boxes and Beverage Container

Box Top and Gravel

Forming A Space Station

These items just reminded me of kooky space age items, so I went with a kind of Star Wars theme and ended up with Space Station Central.

Gluing Together Filters

Clipping and gluing

When I looked at the coffee filters I immediately saw a flower. I just tried to see how I could assemble a flower with the odd shapes and started gluing them together until I had the end product which I liked a lot.

Quick Challenges Marks

I drew a sinking economy.

The hand reminded of the old Indian greeting "How" so I took with the plight of the American Indian and drew the teepee, the tear drop and peace on the hand to convey sadness.

The lighthouse reminded me of seagulls so I went with a seagull.

The store logo reminded me of a bell tower so I drew the tower.

The question mark reminded of an ice cream soda so I went with it.

This was a post card with Happy Birthday on it but it wouldn't accept drawing so I sketched a cake on the back.

Dots made into balloons.

Merchandising reminded me of shopping so I went with the feminine accessories.

Debris Drawings 1 & 2

Bottle and can lid debris I found by a dumpster.

The more debris the better, in this case.

In the end, I had the final kinetic arrangement of bottle caps and lids.

Debris drawing number two was collected at the beach, nature's own debris, seashells.

I gathered the shells together and started arranging them.

In the end I had nature's catalog of shells.

Shadow Drawings

When I thought of shadow drawings I immediately thought of sunset.  I went downtown and drove around until I found what I thought were the perfect examples of shadows, and highlights.  The following are what I found and photographed.

Found Drawings

Found drawings represented to me what nature provided through her processes that when given a second look were her own canvases.  I think these photos are the best art works without the touch of a human artist's hand.
